I love this trend as i've always been a fan of working with, not against my clients natural colour. The closer you work with what you've got naturally, the less damage is caused and your regrowth is less obvious!

So what does recession proof hair look like?

Healthy, shiny hair that looks polished, put together and expensive! but not like your trying.

How do you get it?

If you’re blonde, start adding some soft golden or beige honey tones to your hair for dimension and try and not go more than 2 -3 shades lighter than your natural, especially at the root area. This helps give you that "born with it" look which is also great for longevity of colour as the roots wont grow out so obviously meaning you can get longer between your colour appointments.

For brunettes, add some soft, barely there highlights and then gloss all over. Both ash and warm tones are trending for brunettes so this choice really is down to your skin tone and what will compliment you best.

Both these options give you soft effortless colour that you can maintain easily by glossing between your "bigger" colour jobs.
